Introduction 簡介
Hua Hsia Chinese School has grown steadily since it was established in 2001. We are a vibrant and diverse community, with bright and well-motivated students, taught by qualified, committed staff. With the increasing demand for Mandarin learning, we opened our new branch in Southgate a few years ago and currently have two branches, a total of 26 teachers and 300 students.
We are very honored to be chosen by Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) to establish the Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning in 2021. We have run three adult Mandarin classes, on Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday from September 2021.
We believe that learning Mandarin should be fun. That’s why, as well as offering a wide range of classes for all ages, we take time to explore Taiwan’s fascinating history and culture.
華夏中文學校自2001年創校以來不斷成長茁壯，我們是多元活躍的大家庭，擁有優良師資，聰明又富具學習動機的學生。隨著華語文教育需求增加，近年華夏於Southgate開立分校，目前共有兩所分校，26名教師及300名學生。
華夏在2021年獲得中華民國僑務委員會核定成立臺灣華語文學習中心，自2021年下旬起開設成人班，共有三班，分別於週二週六及週日。
在華夏同學們可以快樂地學習中文，我們提供適合各年齡層的課程，同時可以學習到臺灣的歷史及文化。
Courses 課程特色
The courses are provided for adults over 18 years of age who are not native speakers, with zero basic knowledge of Mandarin. The course consists of 12 lessons per term.
The Center uses the 500-character Chinese textbook as the main resource, and select 10 lessons as the framework. The first lesson introduces the cultural background and basic pronunciation tones. The last lesson is a review and examination.
課程主要提供給零基礎非母語18歲以上成人，12堂課為一期。
使用五百字學華語課本為主要題材，從中選取10課，第一堂課會先介紹文化背景以及基本發音聲調最後一堂為複習以及考試。
