Introduction 簡介
Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning at Growing Tree Learning Center was founded in fall 2021 for teaching Chinese as a second language for adults. If you live and work in Silicon Valley, taking classes with the program can greatly improve your Mandarin skills. All classes are taught in Mandarin/English and use pinyin for pronunciation. Courses focus on listening, speaking, reading, and writing/typing. Ideally, students will learn to appreciate the beauty of Mandarin and culture in Taiwan.
小狀元教育學苑廣邀加州矽谷在地非華語外籍友人、各分校雙語班家長及英文教師參加，並促進與在地企業和社區單位合作來共同推廣臺灣華語文學習中心。希望透過小狀元教育學苑各區分校累積多年的教學策畫經驗，和豐富的教案內容，潛移默化讓外籍學員們體驗臺灣文化與文字藝術真善美。
Courses 課程特色
Primarily, reading will be focused on during class. Content will relate to real-life interactions with society. Students will become fluent in interacting with others in a Mandarin-based society. The class is structured to help students learn in a positive and uplifting environment, which will nurture their skills along their learning journey. Other than in-person classes, online supplemental resources from the Overseas Compatriot Affairs Council will help enhance the material learned. Hopefully students of this program will be able to show off what they learned by visiting Taiwan in the future!
課程包含基礎班和進階班。首先專注在讀，課程著重於實用性。透過學員彼此自由多元交流，在生動愉快的課室環境，活學活用深入了解。並兼具實體教學與數位科技，結合臺灣優質的教育資源。中文博大精深，在美麗的文字後面連接著廣大浩瀚的歷史與文化密碼。期盼未來能開放學員參訪臺灣，實際應用課堂所學!
