The Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL) has been developed and is promoted by the Steering Committee for the Test of Proficiency-Huayu (SC-TOP) as a standardized test of Taiwanese Mandarin for non-native speakers of the language. TOCFL draws reference from the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages with the objective of compatibility with existing international language proficiency standards. Presently, the TOCFL places learners in four proficiency bands over eight levels. The four bands include: Band Novice, Band A, Band B, and Band C. Each band can be further separated into two levels based on a learner’s test result, namely Novice 1 and Novice 2 (for Band Novice), Level 1 and Level 2 (for Band A), Level 3 and Level 4 (for Band B), and Level 5 and Level 6 (for Band C). 華語文能力測驗（簡稱華測）由中華民國臺灣國家華語測驗推動工作委員會（簡稱華測會）研發與推廣，是一套專門為母語非華語者設計的標準化語言能力測驗，參照歐洲共同語文參考架構，與國際語言標準接軌。目前華測等級架構為四等八級，四等分別為準備級、入門基礎級、進階高階級及流利精通級，而每一等又可再依據測驗成績細分為兩級，分別為準備級一級、準備級二級、入門級、基礎級、進階級、高階級、流利級、精通級，共八級。應試者可依據學習背景或語言能力報考適合的等級。更多測驗相關資訊請參考華測會網站：網站連結。

Correspondence Between the Let’s Learn Mandarin (For Children) Textbook Series and the Children’s Chinese Competency Certification (CCCC)
After completing Let’s Learn Mandarin (For Children) Book 2, young learners reach approximately 60% vocabulary coverage of the Sprouting Level. At this stage, they have a higher likelihood of passing and may consider taking the Sprouting Level test. Similarly, learners who complete Book 4 may consider taking the Seedling Level test, and those who complete Book 6 may aim for the Blossoming Level.
